This policy applies to the HCPCS code R0075 and addresses the updates associated with the modifiers.
Effective 02/01/2021 for DOS on or the dates of services thereafter, the code R0075 will be DENIED if an appropriate modifier is billed with the code.
Definition: R0075- Transportation of portable x-ray equipment and personnel to home or nursing home, per trip to facility or location, more than one patient seen
The applicable modifiers, according to CMS requirements, as follows:
UN, UP, UQ, US – these modifiers are used to report the number of patients served during a single trip that the portable x-ray supplier makes to a particular location.
