This applies only to Georgia State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP) members enrolled in a UnitedHealthcare HMO or high-deductible health plan (HDHP) plan.

What is happening?

• Only 9amHealth providers are allowed to prescribe weight-loss medications
• Except for – diabetic GLP-1s, like Ozempic and Mounjaro.
• The SHBP patients that are currently on weight-loss meds with a valid authorization- will receive instructions how to enroll to 9amHealth, once their auth expires.
• UHC will not accept any authorization requests or prescriptions from other providers

Providers– Please direct members who need these medications to enroll at join9am.com/shbp or call 888-870-9542- to ensure no disruption in patient treatment.

Effective DOS? 2/1/26 and thereafter.
