I am an independent Medical Biller and an APPC Approved Instructor (CPB, CPB-I). I started my career in healthcare back in 2007 with a Utilization Management Company (PT/OT). Since September 2019, I decided to narrow my focus on providing training and consulting services for other certified professionals, office staff, providers, anybody that is in healthcare field. The training/consulting focuses on medical/reimbursement policies, benefits investigations and denial management with emphasis on following the proper coding and billing guidelines. Some of my previous projects include: Successful NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program MU (Meaningful Use) AUDIT (2020), as well as successful attestations for NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program (4 years/2016-2020). Starting October 2007 and through the next 6 years, I worked for a Utilization Management Company- creating OT/PT prior authorization cases. The experience within the company helped me acquire knowledge of innerworkings of prior authorization part of the healthcare system.
In December 2014, I joined the office of Dr. Celina P. John (Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology), where I currently work as an Office Manager. My duties include overseeing day to day operations including: benefits investigation, reimbursement policies, prior authorizations, appeals, etc.
In January of 2015, I became an Independent Medical Biller/Consultant, and created KR2 Medical Billing (consulting, medical billing and medical coding)
Since September 2019– I decided to narrow my focus on consulting and training for other certified professionals, office staff, providers, benefits administrators, and anybody that is in healthcare field.
Currently, I offer On-demand and Live online Medical Billing and Coding Training/Consulting.
October 2021- Took AAPC CBP-I exam and passed, obtaining my AAPC Approved Instructor Certificate!
I keep myself current on all up-to-date healthcare news, regulations, government incentive programs, changes in medical billing and medical coding guidance. I enjoy going to the movies (due to COVID-19-watching movies at home with family 😊) , good food and spending time with my family.
