BIO:
Kateryna Patskovska, CPB, AAPC Approved Instructor (CPB-I) is an independent educational content creator for anyone that is in the healthcare field community.
Throughout her career Kateryna has been on all of the sides: the provider, the patient, the payer.
On the provider side she has experience in every part of the RCM cycle- from front desk to back office (medical billing/denials management). By following the CMS proper medical billing and coding guidelines adjacent with Federal/Local laws- created a compliant environment that ensured the financial safety of the provider office/facility.
On the payer side- she has experience with a widely popular and extremely hard process of IDRs (NSA/NY NSA); in addition to OON provider negotiations and prior authorization process.
On the patient side- she has advocated for patients in many balance billing cases. Resulting in some IDR case dismissals, significant reductions to the balance owed or eradicating the balance completely, bringing it to $0.
Before joining the healthcare field- she wanted to become a teacher- which she is currently achieving by creating educational material (medical billing and coding) for anyone that is in the healthcare community.

October 2021- CBP-I- AAPC approved Instructor exam- passed! Became an AAPC approved Instructor
November 2021- Published an Article: Common Genetic Testing Types and Reimbursement Trends in AAPC Monthly HBM.
July of 2022- September 2022 Joined Varsity Tutors
I joined as a SME on Medical Billing and currently tutor other students that are in healthcare field and are seeking CPB (AAPC) certification!
