This new policy applies to transfer of patient from one acute facility to another one for the same related care.

What is new?

• The transferring acute care facility will no longer recieve reimbursement for day  of discharge/transfer
• No outlier payments will be added under the per diem reimbursement methodology.
• No reimbursement for Inpatient same day transfers, as defined under under the transfers within 24 hours.
• Effective Date is 7/15/26
