SOMOS IPA and EmblemHealth to term relationship

Did you hear? SOMOS IPA will no longer be INN with EmblemHealth as of 7/1/26.


What is changing for providers?

  • The SOMOS IPA affected by this were notified via email
  • The providers that have separate contracts with EmblemHealth either solo or group- will remain INN
  • UM will be now performed through EmblemHealth directly
  • Claim processing- EmblemHealth
  • Plans affected: HARP, Child Health Plus, Essential Plans

What should members expect?

  • Pregnant members that received care as of 6/30/26 can still receive the medical care through the whole pregnancy- from SOMOS IPA provider
  • Any members that receive continuous care from the SOMOS IPA provider can still receive care for the next 90 days: 7/1/26-9/29/26
  • Members will receive new cards with EmblemHealth info
  • Member ID #s will not change
  • Members currently receiving care management from SOMOS IPA will be transitioned to EmblemHealth case manager
  • Member copays, and plans are not affected
